Cows, cattle - a bastion of human existence: we depend on their skins for leather, their milk for a multitude of food products, their meat to feed us. Horn for decorative items, hoofs..

We rarely give them a thought. The plastic-wrapped sanitized packet of meat from the supermarket  has no relation to the live animal. The stylized cow image on the milk carton is nothing other than a brand icon. No relation to that sweet little calf being bottle-fed at the touch farm.
